Contribute to Community Healing, Health, & Wellbeing

The Nature Studies Conservatory is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and public charity 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). The Conservatory serves the local community of Ventura County and areas of need within the United States and abroad. We invite you to support the Conservatory’s Healing Center, the Harmony Project, and the Living Sanctuary Intentional Community. Your contribution helps to provide quality services and resources to heal from adversity and trauma as well as to create housing, food, and resource security.

Healing Center

The Healing Center provides quality, mind-body/holistic health and wellbeing resources (free and by donation via the NSC Pay-It-Forward Fund). Nature Design: Holistic Health, Healing, and Environment is a heart-centered, nature-informed approach to restoring relationship/community and contributing to the renewal of humanity. Workshops, classes, 1:1 and group sessions, and nature-immersion retreats support personal healing work for rematriation (healing, re-unifying feminine and masculine aspects), reclamation, and re-storying of individual, ancestral/family, and collective narrative and experience. These resources are provided to holistically nourish the spirit, optimize health and wellbeing, improve the quality of life, heal emotional pain/trauma, and offer assistance in achieving one’s full potential. Our offerings are provided onsite and by phone or online video conferencing (i.e., Zoom, Skype).

Harmony Project

Restoring Relationship, Healing Community

The Harmony Project was initiated to help nurture regenerative, altruistic connection and interpersonal/transpersonal relationship via our connection and relationship with Nature. The project’s model includes natural cycles and rhythms as well as Nature’s inherent relationships and flows drawing from ancient, Ancestral-Indigenous, and Eastern wisdoms; healing technologies; wellbeing self-practices; and relational/folk/ethno-botany. Inner relationship and personal healing work are developed and supported to engender altruistic interactions and community.

The Nature Design: Holistic Health, Healing, and Environment life group and the Heart Journeys healing group offer heart-centered, safe space to unpack beliefs (including those from personal experiences and ones “passed down” or transferred via social interactions). Integrative groupwork with 1:1 support sessions help to heal personal and collective (conscious/unconscious) emotional pain and trauma (i.e., personal, transgenerational, cultural, historical +) as well as holistically improve community health, wellbeing, and quality of life. Individual work in supportive community nourishes the heart-soul, deepens inner relationship, and cultivates restorative, reciprocal relationships with others.

Intentional Community & Land Trust

Nature Relationship, Conservancy, & Preservation

The Living Sanctuary Intentional Community (IC) will provide assistance and resources for healing from adversity and trauma as well as increasing economic/healthy housing/food security and restoring land-community relationship. This is the first of several nature-relational projects to nurture regenerative, altruistic relationship and establish holistically supportive, green-sustainable/carbon neutral intentional community assisted by collaborative partnerships. Our Leadership certificate program also will provide students with an opportunity to contribute to the intentional community’s development.

Each resident will receive support to develop an empowering, eco-based vision/mission that is aligned with personal authenticity/purpose, clarify strengths/needs, and access effective strategies/tools for optimizing quality of life. The Living Sanctuary Intentional Community (IC) includes a social ecopreneurship startup community with a hybrid co-operative and incubator. This healing community will promote trauma recovery and socio-economic-environmental sustainability for underserved, disadvantage people, who are often disproportionately BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color); while, contributing to the restoration of the planet.
